Where are our freelancers based?
We have cameramen and sound recordists based in and around Bristol, Bath, London, Cardiff and Birmingham. Many of our crew who are based outside London do offer a London based rate. We have editors in Bristol and Norfolk.
How much do the freelancers charge?
As a diary service we are unfortunatly unable to deal with rates. For any rate information please call the individual freelancer directly.
Can I book an editor to work in an edit suite somewhere other than Films at 59 or Pink House?
Yes, the editors can work anywhere you wish them to. They are in no way tied to working within our building.
How much will booking a crew through the diary service cost?
There is no cost to production of booking a freelancer through us.
What should I do if I am a freelancer who is interested in joining the diary?
We like to keep the diary quite small so we can make the best recommendations possible to production as we can offer a personal service where we know each of our freelancers very well. So we don't often take on new members. That being said if you are interested in being considered when the opportunity arises please email your CV to diary@filmsat59.com
What type of freelancers do we represent?
We have DOPs, Lighting Cameramen, Camera Ops, Steadicam, a Jimmy Jib op, a Focus Puller, Sound recordists for both drama and documentary and Editors capable of working on most of the different editing packages. Unfortunately we don't represent any other professions (eg Makeup artists, directors, production staff....etc.)
What information can I submit for inclusing in my diary entry?
Each standard diary entry has the same sections available. They are:
Address details: Name Photo (4:3 'Landscape' only please) Telephone Mobile Fax Website Summary: A very brief description of your skills in no more than 200 characters , for example: Skilled non-linear editor familiar with Avid Xpress DV, Media Composer, Adrenaline. Some experience on Final Cut Pro. Lots of previous experience in Observational and Historical documentaries. Biography: Any length. Awards: Any length. Skills: Any length. Credits: Any length. |
